HAWA B
HAWA B challenges the limits of creation with her iconoclastic music of plural textures. Her main source of inspiration, soul and jazz blend with alternative rock. The result is a mesmerizing and dense-sounding compilation. Through her first two EPs, Sad in a Good Way (2022) and Sadder but Better (April 2024), HAWA B reaches out to sadness and embraces its most contrasting variations. Her writing is honest, sharp and in dialogue with others and herself: the sensitive ear will be able to find a remedy in it. It's through her reappropriation of alternative musical genres that HAWA B shatters what is imposed on women and artists of color. On stage, HAWA B hypnotizes with the depth of her voice - evoking the magical accents of siren songs. Polymorphic, she multiplies formulas: from duo to sextet, offering a unique performance every time. HAWA B will release her second EP - Sadder but Better - co-produced with Félix Petit (Les Louanges, Safia Nolin, Hubert Lenoir, FELP) in April 2024 on Duprince records.
