FAWNA
FAWNA is the dynamic solo project of Canadian singer-songwriter Jenna Deagle-Potter. A master of genre-bending, she fuses R&B, Trip-Hop, and Electronic music to create an immersive, introspective sound. Her music, rich with personal narratives and emotive storytelling, weaves spellbinding melodies through themes of transformation and self-discovery. Jenna began her musical journey in Halifax’s indie scene, performing with various bands before discovering her unique voice as an artist. In 2014, she relocated to Montreal to pursue her solo career and a degree in Intermedia/Cyberarts. Immersed in the city's vibrant music community, she quickly gained recognition for her captivating performances and innovative collaborations. FAWNA was born from her desire to merge music and visual art into a singular, powerful identity. Her debut EP, Vol. 1 (2016), introduced her distinctive sound, marking the start of her solo career. In 2019, she teamed up with producer Cobrayama for the CLEAR EP, showcasing her versatility as an artist. After a series of collaborations, FAWNA released Vol. 2 (November 2024), a bold evolution in her artistry that delves into self-belief, resilience, and the beauty found in life’s darkest moments. Having performed alongside international talent at Ottawa Bluesfest, Future Forest Festival, and The Commodore Ballroom, FAWNA continues to push boundaries, captivating audiences with her commanding stage presence and solidifying her rise in contemporary music.
