Knitting
Knitting is the sophomore music endeavour of Mischa Dempsey. Their self-titled album, released in May 2021, is composed of songs written over the past 3 years, both while living alone and in pandemic hibernation, following the dissolution of their former band Lonely Parade. Dempsey works with frayed emotions, self recognition, and introspection, to create songs that are earnest and raw. Drawing from the likes of Palehound, Elliot Smith, and Ovlov, Knitting sits adjacent to DIY low-fi indie rock, with inflections of slowcore and bedroom pop. Knitting is currently based out of Montreal, QC.
