Sunforger

Sunforger is the fully-fledged phoenix risen from the ashes of Montreal guitar project Mono No Aware. Both incarnations muse on the construction of our experiential existences, and valourize our emotional interiority. Sunforger synthesizes elements of emo, post-punk, and post-grunge, concisely deconstructing rock music into its two base elements: rhythm and hook. The results are groove-oriented, highly syncopated, infinitely repeatable melodies. Unique timbres and time signatures, harmony, dissonance, and consistent driving pulses embrace the listener in fourth wave emo that is introspective, and affirming. Harsh, but gentle; alienated, but inviting.
